My sister wanted to go to another restaurant that was unknowingly closed (no update had been made to their website/google) so we happened to be right around the corner from here so thought lets give it a go.

Mixed reviews on the food and drink but overall it was a positive experience and we'd visit again in the future.

They weren't fried but boiled then topped with sauce? We thought the chicken wings were overcooked but there was a kick to the sauce which we liked. We were quite surprised with the Chicken Wings though. My OH was slightly disappointed with the size of the crab which was smaller than the burger buns whilst I had no complaints about my Brisket Burger. I would have expected the hot drinks to be bigger in size like in a taller or wider mug for that price. The food and drinks came at a reasonable time. We weren't told what were the actual T&Cs of the special offer but I know that we had to order drinks. It was already busy at mid-day but all the staff were calm and friendly.

I booked few hours ahead to get the 50% off food on Mondays. If you hate your job so much please look for a new one and stop ruining the atmosphere and reputation of what once was a great place to visit! Please smile, please be kind and please be pleasant to those who are choosing to spend their money with you. The staff member in question was male and works regularly behind the bar. We have unfortunately been at the end of one particular staff members awful rudeness, arrogance and damn right unpleasentness on two occassions - I have never been made to feel so uncomfortable by a staff member in my life, we are dining, drinking and enjoying our evening and wanted to leave immediately. Given the current economy I would think the staff would be making the most of each customer who has decided to walk through their door, treat them kindly and be thankful that we have chosen their venue out of all of the competition that Manchester has to offer. I love nothing more than supporting local business in Manchester, seeing so many recently closing is heartbreaking and is leaving alot of people questioning what the future of Manchesters bar and restaurant industry is going to look like in years to come.
